Campus Features

There are several community spaces on campus, including a restaurant, a multitude of formal and informal meeting rooms, and an 180 seat theater. Our 100 acre, pastoral campus is surrounded by natural areas and historic sites within walking distance.

  • CARRIAGE HOUSE RESTAURANT

More than a century old, the Huyck family’s original carriage house was converted into a full-service restaurant that can accommodate 120 guests.

The Carriage House Restaurant has earned an excellent regional reputation for its seasonal menus which our executive chef curates to clients’ taste and to take advantage of locally sourced ingredients.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner offer an array of delicious meal options for those with special dietary requirements, from heart-healthy and vegetarian meals, to gluten-free and lactose-free offerings.

  • GUGGENHEIM PAVILION

The Guggenheim Pavilion (affectionately known as “The Gugg”) houses office space for Hilltown Commons staff and a variety of meeting rooms for guests.

The building’s meeting space is flexible - the Master Seminar Room can be configured in a variety of seating arrangements for large gatherings and two nearby break-out rooms are suited to facilitate small-group work.

The theater seats 180 and is designed for performances, films, and lecture-style presentations. RVille Stage Creations, a local community theater nonprofit, uses the theater for rehearsals for their semiannual performances.

  • GROUNDS

Our 100-acre historic estate is bordered by the Huyck Preserve and overlooks the Catskill mountains.

There is an abundance of historic and natural spaces within striking distance as there are state forests, preserves, historic landmarks, and wildlife areas throughout the Hilltowns.

Accordingly, outdoor reaction opportunities are abound, no matter the season. Swim, hike, snowshoe, or stay on campus and find yourself in repose on the main lawn or on one of our many porches. Guests can wander about the campus at will, stroll in the woods, or try to locate a series of clues to solve a riddle and earn Hilltown merch.
