Speaking to What Matters

October 10–12, 2025

Join us this fall for Speaking to What Matters, a weekend retreat devoted to uncovering the power of your story. Through a mix of reflective writing, embodied speaking, and courageous story circles, you’ll explore not just how to express yourself—but why your story matters. You’ll leave with new tools for clarity, confidence, and connection, both on the page and out loud.

This weekend includes:

  • Private accommodations with en-suite bath

  • Chef-prepared, seasonal meals (welcome dinner through farewell brunch)

  • Full access to Hilltown Commons’ 100-acre campus

  • Writing sessions and story-sharing circles that invite honesty, clarity, and deep connection

  • Guided frameworks to help shape your story with meaning and depth

  • Time to reflect, restore, and find renewed confidence in your voice

  • A copy of Katherine’s book Speaking to What Matters

You’ll walk away with:

  • A deeper understanding of your story and why it matters

  • A practical, heart-centered framework for telling your truth

  • The courage to express yourself with clarity and care

Meet Your Instructor!

Katherine Kennedy is a storytelling coach, retreat facilitator, and author of Speaking to What Matters. She helps people find, shape, and share their personal stories as a path to deeper connection—with themselves and the world around them. Through writing, story circles, and authentic expression, Katherine creates sacred spaces of shared humanity and deep connection.

This is for you if you’ve ever thought:

  • “I know I have a story, but I don’t know where to start.”

  • “I have so much inside me, but I don’t know how to express it.”

  • “I don’t trust my voice—it doesn’t feel strong, or clear, or me.”

  • “I want to feel more confident speaking up—in my writing, in rooms, in relationships.”

Or even…

  • I don’t know how to explain who I am in a way that feels real.

  • Do I even have a story worth telling?

  • I don’t know if I want to go there.
